The latest installment of the Black Label subscription, DtMF, was inspired by Bad Bunny and his deep, unmistakable love for Puerto Rico. Not just the place, but the pride, the history, the culture, and the insistence on showing up for home loudly and unapologetically.

For this colorway, I looked to Old San Juan, where the streets are lined with vividly painted houses in sun washed pastels and bold, weathered hues. Colors that have lived a life. Blue walls softened by salt air, warm terracotta and mango tones baked in the Caribbean sun, soft pinks, buttery yellows, and coastal greens layered together through time. Nothing perfectly uniform, everything intentional.

The yarn reflects that same layered beauty. Bright but grounded. Playful but rooted. Each shade nods to the architecture, the resilience, and the joy found in those streets, where color is both celebration and preservation. Like Bad Bunny’s music, it honors tradition while pushing forward, blending softness with strength and nostalgia with now.

This installment is a love letter to Puerto Rico. To choosing your roots. To carrying home with you wherever you go.

This yarn is HAND DYED by yours truly & dyed to order! I ask that you order enough yarn to finish and complete your project so that your skeins are better matched. While I try my best to maintain consistency with all of my yarns, I ask that you remember that with hand dyed yarns, NO TWO SKEINS WILL EVER BE IDENTICAL!!!!

Care Instructions: Machine wash gentle. Lay flat to dry. (Hand washing is STRONGLY recommended to maintain the color and quality of your finished piece.)

*NOTES - All companies, including companies who purchase dyed yarns from a mill can have a problem with bleeding or transfer of colors. This mostly occurs in blues and teals, but can occur with any very dark and saturated color. Every effort has been made to ensure that this yarn does not bleed. The color in this yarn has been set BUT you may or may not see an insignificant amount of color exhaust in the water during your first wash but nothing thereafter. This is common with most hand dyed yarns and again, hand washing is strongly suggested to maintain the color and quality of your finished piece.
